Though nearly three quarters of the mainland in Australia remains secluded from the modern world, the grasslands of the central and northern territories have been inhabited by Aborigines for over 50,000 years. Certainly not a coincidence, because with the exception of the eastern coast, most of the land beyond the Northern Territory is covered by deserts surrounded by scarcely vegetated steppes.
The red continent and its outback are the inspiration for our model made of padauk and grey marble.
