Travelling through the Harz
I wanted to use October to take some scenic autumn pictures for my portfolio. Therefore, I spent four days in the Harz Mountains. The national park of the Harz is the perfect backdrop. Besides rivers, ponds and lakes, mountains and hiking trails can be discovered.
And that was exactly my plan. Early in the morning, before the sun rose, I grabbed my camera, drove to a lake and waited for the sun to come up. Unfortunately, the weather god had something against it. But even without the sun's rays, the Harz offers many different motifs.
A highlight is the Brockenbahn, which leads to the Brocken, the highest mountain in Northern Germany. If you want to break out of your everyday life for a few days and get fresh, clean air, you should look at the Harz Mountains as a weekend destination.
One night at the Grimselpass
"These are the nights that never die"
Harmonious, timeless and quiet - that is how I would describe this autumn morning at the Hubertussee...
Travelling through the nature of Europe by car - Part 2
Hello dear friends of nature! Who has been on vacation in Finland before?
Travelling through the nature of Europe by car - Part 1
Hello dear friends of nature! Do you know the feeling of heading into an unknown adventure? The call of nature before a hike starts or a road trip begins.
Travelling through Switzerland
When you live in the vastness of Northern Europe for 14 months, you get used to some conditions. For example, the new feeling of distance - in Finland, car trips of 400-800km per day weren't unusual, the cities there are so far apart that these distances are rather normal...
As it gets dark outside...
Taking pictures by night is different. You always stay alert. Maybe this is what makes these trips so fascinating.
Go with the flow
Of the four elements known in the west, every single one unfolds its magic in a unique and special way. Mostly we feel gravitated especially by one of them...
The peace of stars
What would be your favourite - a 5 star hotel or a 5 billion star hotel?
In the country of sheeps
After my first road trip in those days the country devoured me and has not spit me out yet...
Wanna see a place where you can drive many kilometers without even meeting a single person? Feeling as free as nowhere else around the world :)
About forests and trees
I am particularly fascinated by forests or standalone trees, as every single tree shows unparalleled beauty, uniqueness and therefore tells its own personal story.
