DESCRIPTION

Looking like tortoise shells the Moeraki Boulders are lying on Koekohe Beach on the coast of Otago on the south island of New Zealand.

The Boulders are unusually big spherical concretions that have been uncovered through erosion.
Also today from time to time the waves reveal new Boulders.

The dial of our model Moeraki is made of grey marble which unique texture serves as a daily reminder of the very special surface of these mineral aggregates.

marble

marble

A touch of luxury. The name "marble" comes from the Greek word "mármaros", which means "shining stone". The history of marble dates back to ancient Greek and Roman art, where marble was used for sculptures and architecture. With its distinctive texture and coloring, marble provides a particularly aesthetic appearance that makes our watches and jewelry made from this stone very special statement pieces.
